Thank you very much for visiting my website. I think you'll find that my approach to shooting a wedding is as unique as each wedding itself. My goal is to reflect the energy and emotion of your day with photography that is spontaneous, elegant and fun. I stay in the background observing the carefully planned details and intimate moments between friends and family, but most of all between you and your fiancé.
Stylistically, my work has a distinct, modern quality, simple but at the same time layered with subtle design elements. I focus on every aspect of the event that I can possibly capture - the texture of your dress, the elegant placecards, the setting moon over a festively lit tent, the energy of the dancing, the joy-filled exchanges and romance of the day.
I am a fine-arts-trained RISD graduate, and have been photographing fashion, photojournalism, and fine arts for over fifteen years. My work has been exhibited in both Europe and North America. Over the past five years I have been focusing exclusively on shooting weddings because for me it is the purest way to work - it combines emotion, storytelling and beauty into a singular event.
My approach is cinematic. Unlike most photographers, I do not limit my hours. To me it is most important to capture the whole event without time restraints, which gives you one less thing to worry about. I always work with an assistant, which allows me to focus on you. I shoot in a variety of films and formats, including black & white and color, as well as a special B&W film called infrared (very ethereal), 35 mm, 2 1/4 (medium format), true panoramic, and sometimes additional antique and alternative formats. As a result, you have a vast selection of images from which to develop your album.
The albums themselves are an additional opportunity for you to express your creativity. I work with custom bookbinders and importers who create magnificent books from fine leathers, papers, silks and brocades. Each album becomes a gem in its own right to be treasured for generations to come.
I consider being a wedding photographer an honor. I am there to create images that will last a lifetime and become a part of your family's history. Please call my studio if you wish to see more work, complete albums, or just to chat. I consider the process of looking for your wedding photographer a very personal experience, and would welcome the opportunity to discuss your plans further.
Thanks again for visiting, enjoy the pictures.
